Beyond the Stars

July 22, 2020

“Today I didn’t read your microstories.”

“No?”

“Really.”

“Then it’s somebody else.”

The couple seemed bored. Doug was sipping some cold brewed herbal tea. That means that since they didn’t have a kettle, he just put the teabag in a water bottle. How lame…

“I’m so glad you actually came with me, here. A lot, a lot.”

“Really?”

“Mm-mm”

“You’re so sweet.”

“You are.”

Karla’s voice was soft, calm, calming.

“So what do we do tonight?”

“What do we do tonight?”
Said Karla in a cute, childish tone. As if to ask if the question Doug asked was precisely that one.

“Yeah.”

“We go out.”

“Where?”

“Eh, where? I dunno. Well, apparently this party in Prague was in June.”

“What party?”

“The party in Prague where people got Coronavirus.”

“But then I cannot put this part in the microstory.”

“You can.”

“No really. I’m actually writing down the script of what we’re saying.”

“Well people write random stuff on Facebook.”

“No, I mean, I cannot write it, otherwise it would be lame.”

Then he took Karla by the hand, and they flew out of the hotel’s window.
In that italian’s sky night

Towards the stars
And beyond.

“I actually wrote this.”

“You wrote the microstory already?”

“Ah… Yeah. About us.”

She laughed, in a very candid way.
